A Message From The President

Yes, we are still on a roll! Next month's NPC meeting, June 5, 2008, is important for a few reasons. First of all, it is the election of officers for the next year and second, we will have the second reading of the bylaws and voting to accept them by the membership. With the revised bylaws we can put together the other documents necessary to make application for a 501C3 nonprofit status, approved by the IRS. With this status, other financial opportunities for the Council and the community will become available.

We also plan to make a significant important announcement concerning the Karl Property behind the Food Lion grocery store. We can only hope that the community will be excited and support the change in direction for this valuable piece of land in our community. The June meeting will be the last meeting of the current fiscal year for the Council. We will have no meetings in July or August. The next meeting will be the first Thursday in September, which will be September 4, 2008.
