A Message From The President

The wheels of government move slowly, but I believe persistence is the key to progress.  In this vein I see progress on some of the initiatives that we are and have been pursuing on improvements and changes in our community.

At our last NPC meeting, Thursday, November 5th, we heard from Ray Heil, Baltimore County’s Project Manager for the Screetscape project, who told us that 50% of the project engineering was complete and steadily moving forward. Issues involving drainage were systematically being pursued for a resolution.  The mud puddle project is nearing completion.  The North Point Heritage Greenway Trail is moving forward with anticipated funding by the government.  The Karl Property ball fields project is being pursued and the surrounding residences visited thus far are supportive.

The notion that seems to persist that nothing is getting done is not accurate.  Things are getting done, albeit slowly, if not in microscopic steps.  We must continue to aggressively pursue these initiatives and, with your continued support, success will result.

In closing, the North Point Council wishes everyone on the North Point Peninsula a very happy Thanksgiving.
