A Message From The President

The volunteer council directors are actively researching more ways in which to communicate with residents of the community.  Currently, communications are through monthly meetings, Dundalk Eagle articles, the newsletter, and the website.

Communication seems to be going in one direction – from the NPC to the community and little communication from the community to the council.  Attendance at the monthly meetings has fallen off along with dues paying membership.  The enormous amount of volunteer time and effort to communicate to the community via these avenues when there is a lack of community support is very discouraging.  Lack of interest from the community to attend the monthly meetings or support the volunteer efforts of the council and those who attend the meetings is disheartening to say the least.  I realize that not everyone has the passion for volunteer community service as those who consistently step up to the plate and to make the community a better place.

Your support of the NPC through your membership is greatly appreciated.  You have taken a giant step forward.  But we need your help.  You know of the good work that the council has accomplished – the North Point Gateway Monument, the cell tower, and the Food Lion, to name a few.  We need feedback – good, bad, or indifferent.  Please ask your family members and neighbors to attend a monthly meeting, become members, and let us know their concerns, thoughts, and ideas.

I am concerned about the future of the NPC and its mission.  Who will carry on when there is no support?   The council can only do what it can do with your support.  If the council doesn’t do it, who will?

Thank you for visiting the NPC website. We would love to hear from you! Become a member and get our detailed monthly newsletter. Be sure to sign our guest book before you leave.
